Every now and then, my monitor screen blackouts.

So, I bought a Mac mini 2-3 weeks ago and I'm having a problem with my screen display.

Occasionally, my monitor (Dell) blacks out for a few seconds then it becomes normal again. The blackout duration is not consistent, it ranges from 1 to 3 seconds and it can happen up to 6 times a day, on most days it only happen twice or 3 times a day.

While the screen is blackout, the system still runs as normal. For example, if I was watching YouTube and the blackout happens at 0:30 for 3 seconds, then I'd see the video continues to run at 0:33 when the screen turns back to normal.

Please help me to fix this.

Hi everyone,

Apparently, the problem happened because the Mac mini was placed near freezer. I notice every time the freezer activates (it makes hmmm noice), monitor screen turns black.

Relocating the Mac mini to a different position, far away from the freezer solved the problem.

Thanks.
