nscreateobject is damaged and can't be opened

Whenever I open Logic, or change buffer size, a bunch of errors come up like this NSCreateObjectFileImageFromMemory-ZWD3fyDy is damaged and can’t be opened.

The extension at the end changes, but it pops up about 20 - 30 times before it carries on. Very annoying. When I click show in finder, nothing happens.

Started happening once i upgraded to an M1 mac. Tried reinstalling logic but no luck

MacBook Pro 14″, macOS 12.0

With the assistance of Apple support the following ended up fixing the problem.

1) Copy all the files in ...

/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components

to a temporary folder you have created for the purpose.

2) Delete the contents of the Components folder (but don't delete the folder itself)

3) Restart the Macbook.

4) Start Logic Pro.

5) Quit Logic Pro.

6) Restart the Macbook.

7) Copy the files from the temporary location back into

/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components.

8) Start Logic Pro

With a bit of luck no more popup errors.

9) Quit Logic Pro.

10) Restart the Macbook.

11) Start Logic Pro

Confirm there are still no more popups.

Good luck!

I haven't really had a chance to troubleshoot yet. I just tried opening it normally. It's probably one of the plugins that doesn't work with M1's at all.

From what I've read, opening Logic in Rosetta is unecessary...the plugins that need it will run in bridged (to Rosetta) mode.

You've been able to actually start a session tho?

I don't know if it made any difference but I also started my macbook up in safe mode before starting in normal mode and carrying out the above procedure. I understand a 'Safe Mode' startup can cure some ills.

For a M1 Mac here is the procedure ...

I don't know if this contributed to fixing the problem or not - mentioning it just in case it helps.
