Logitech mouse stuttering on M1 MacBook Pro

I have a Logitech M705 wireless mouse (with USB dongle) which works perfectly fine with my old (late 2015) Intel MacBook Pro. However when connected to M1 MacBook Pro, the mouse is stuttering and almost unusable.

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 12.0

Go to Logitech's support site an update your driver software including the firmware for the M705 Marathon.
