Beats Studio Buds poor call quality

I have an idea about the poor call quality related to these earbuds. I believe it has to do with mic placement and the insulating effect of the “ear gasket” the device uses to seal out sound/keep itself in place.

The microphone on the ‘buds’ is on the top portion of that little nub your ‘spoused to use as a handle; it is located at a location completely opposite of where my mouth is and where my voice projects to.

I believe it would work better if the microphone were on the bottom and facing TOWARD my mouth hole.

I also believe it would work better if there were a less spongy material for the ear gasket => can pick up my voice vibrations from my cranium, like the AirPods seem to do.

What do you think?
