i facetime my friends at night a lot and sometimes the volume would get super loud and it won’t let me turn it down. it’s like at maximum volume and the only way to fix it is to hang up…
i never had this problem before updating to ios 15.1. i updated my phone to ios 15.2 the other day and it’s still happening. how can i fix this? it happens everyday

This also happens to me when i mute myself while I'm on a facetime call - It boosts the volume all the way up and i'm not able to lower it at all.
The only solution for this other than hanging up when it inevitably happens on every call, is to open up TikTok and play a video. I don't know why it works but it brings the volume down to its original level.
This happens to me too! The weird thing about my situation is that it happens every time I turn my brightness down using the menu from sliding down from the upper right corner. The only way to fix it is to hangup.
I’ve adjusted volume from settings, side buttons, and control center. This is sure occurs with all contacts. It happens when using the iPhone speaker. Simply to answer all your questions to help resolve this issu.
Checking “change with buttons” didnt fix it. On speaker, using side buttons.

That, in fact, doesn’t work. It’s been 5 months and I’m still have this issue myself, any new fix to try? Even though it should be fixed by Apple by now
None of the ways you can normally change the volume works and it happens no matter who you are on facetime with.
