Airpods Case battery status on Mac

I own a 3rd generation AirPods and Macbook Air M1.

When I connect the AirPods with the Mac, I could see the battery left in each bud but I am not able to see the percentage of the Airpods case.

How can I view the battery percentage of the case in MacBook?

Thanks for following up, a2tm7a.

Can you confirm for us if there are any available macOS updates for your MacBook Air? If there are, let's update and see if there is any change: Update macOS on Mac.

If an update is available, go ahead and follow those steps to update, then test again. If no updates are available, or if updating doesn't resolve the issue, you can Contact Apple for support and service for additional help.

Take care!

Hey there a2tm7a,

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you are trying to check the battery percentage of your AirPods when they are connected to your MacBook Air. We can help.

When your AirPods are successfully paired with your MacBook Air, let's follow these steps in Charge your AirPods with charging case and learn about battery life:

  1. Open the lid or take your AirPods out of the case.
  2. Click the Bluetooth icon  in the menu bar.
  3. Hover the pointer over your AirPods in the menu.

Is there any improvement after following those steps?
