Xbox Series X Controller not working with app games - Monterey 12.1 M1 macbook air

it was the game oddmar+ ugghh waste of time.....works one day and then not.......

Yes, complete delete and install of 12.0.1 then updated to 12.1.

The controller does not work with games Oddmar+ and Oceanhorn CD from the app store. I have not tried any other games, because it should work with them.

Funny the controller did work with the beta 12.1.

Thank you for responding!!! Sorry you are having a problem also... You don't think it's because of macOS but needs an update so Mac recognizes it? Not sure what you mean. Thank you again very much for the reply...

I have posted this problem on reddit also and there was a post that a person said their xbox one controller is working with M1 macbook pro. I asked them what MacOS and arcade game. I will post again when they respond, good or bad....

This is my first mac and I am disappointed with not supporting xbox controllers with app games even though it says it's a supported controller.

Did I post this in the wrong spot or am I the only one having this problem?

I just used the xbox controller with Xbox live gaming and it worked. Still doesn't work with apple aracde game Oddmar+

Before doing that I thought I would try it on an xbox one, the controller works (updated it too). I tried it on another Macbook Air M1 before updating and after updating the controller and it didn't work. The other Macbook Air M1 that I tried the controller on was a 12.0.1 fresh install then updated to 12.1

I could be wrong but I don't think a full install of 12.1 is going to work. Any other ideas before I do that.
