Always Show Bookmarks Bar” Option has disappeared along with the bookmarks icon on menu

Icon for bookmarks is gone. In settings, unfortunately, the option to "show bookmarks" is missing. I had it last week. It disappeared.

Or, are you referring to this menu item?

View > Show Favorites Bar

Shortcut is: ⇧⌘B if you want to try that to trigger it on.

You should be able to get at your bookmarks in several ways.

1) Using the Safari menu across the top.

2) Clicking the Show sidebar icon, then bookmarks.

Are you saying that neither of these work for you?
