Im keeping my Iphone 8plus, but giving my Ipad 8th Gen. to a friend. How do I keep my own data and phone number but give him ability to use and access the IPAD for himself?

This procedure will properly prepare the iPad for its new user/owner, securely deleting your personal and sensitive information (such as your Keychain - that contains your passwords etc.) - and removes the Activation Lock that might otherwise make reuse of the iPad difficult.
