Apple TV update 15.2 has a glitch

Not sure where to advise issue but since I got latest Apple TV the 15.2 update has a glitch. On my remote audio control I set to control volume on receiver via IR and after I have turned off then on it defaults to auto and I see my tv volume. Please fix

Sorry to hear that. This doesn’t happen on my side. The same setting sticks for me between sleep-wake, menu restart, and also cold restart, while on tvOS 15.2. Your issue may not have to be related to the software version.

I do see a volume bar on screen when changing the volume, but that is normal with my receiver, and would also happen without Apple TV, and using the receiver remote.

I’m seeing this exact same behavior. My receiver is in a closet and I’ve always, until tvOS 15.2 (19K53), been able to do volume control via my AppleTV remote. After TvOS 15.2 was installed, it asked me if I wanted to set up volume control after I pressed the volume up button. I was surprised because it always just worked. I don’t know why I would need to set it up.

I can’t turn on the “Control TV and Receivers” on either. When I look on my receiver, I have CEC turned on.

Can I get some help on why this change was made, or help on why CEC stopped working? Searching around, I see that others have this same issue all of a sudden after 15.2 was installed.

Thanks for your input,

my receiver has only tiny numbers in bottom right corner not to distract as you adjust while watching movie. Very discreet, reason I like compared to tv volume which speakers are off so makes no sense. I have Aquos link with Sharp 3D tv from years ago. Was about to buy new tv but with Apple TV the pic is superior to my dish script. Pretty sure it’s in the update as I’ve changed nothing other than do an update. Never did before and I spoke straight to apple via a chat last night so now that there’s light on it I hope they work on it.

when I make a setting I expect it to hold and not default to auto each time I cycle the power.
