Went to factory reset my Mac now there is no disk.

I wanted to factory reset my Mac and I followed a video on YouTube and through recovery clicked erase Mac, the screen went black, and then a folder with a question mark appeared and theres no disk showing up. I’ve tried so many things but no matter how many times I go into recovery the disk doesn’t show up and I don’t know what to do anymore… if anyone knows anyway to fix this I would appreciate the help! This is what my disk utility shows when I go through recovery. And there’s no disk either when I try to reinstall os.

In Recovery Mode >> Utilities >> Run Repair Disk. Back out of Disk Utilities and run the Reinstall macOS. This will require and active and functioning Internet Connect to connect to the Apple Servers.

For best results use an Ethernet Cable to Router.

Follow these guidelines during installation:

  • If the installer asks to unlock your disk, enter the password you use to log in to your Mac.
  • If the installer doesn't see your disk, or it says that it can't install on your computer or volume, you might need to erase your disk first.
  • If the installer offers you the choice between installing on Macintosh HD or Macintosh HD - Data, choose Macintosh HD.
