MagSafe vs a USB-C to Lightning

Does MagSafe degenerate the battery health of an iPhone faster than what a USB-C to lightning cable with a 20W power adapter uses? I've noticed my iPhone get warmer with using a MagSafe charger compared to direct connecting with a conventional lightning charger.

Hello,

It is generally assumed that a direct connect USB-C cable with a 20W adapter gives the fastest charging. However, they both give satisfactory results. See this for some charging tips:
