I have bought a iPhone13 Pro 256GB as a gift (not yet open) but realised it's not the right capacity he wanted. Is it possible to exchange it to 128GB?

You normally have 14 days for a device purchased from the Apple Store for a full refund/exchange. Exchange will be dependent on in-store stock. However, the holiday exchange is currently applied, and purchases made after November 1 can be exchanged up to January 8.
