Section of my wireless keyboard stopped working.

7,8,9,U,I,O,J,K,L,M and the . keys stopped responding. The comma key works just fine though. I’ve followed the “Systems Preferences” advice on other posts and disconnected and repaired (interestingly the code to re-pair it included keys which don’t respond and were accepted just fine when pressed for that purpose.) Still no luck. Any other ideas anyone?

iMac 21.5″, macOS 10.13

This is normally caused by your having Mouse Keys turned on. Go to your Accessibility preferences and turn Mouse Keys OFF. Hitting the option key 5 times may also do it.
