Reset default screen display
How can I reset Macbook Pro 2021 default screen display? I used Spyder X to calibrate; the screen is now purple.

This happened to me too!
It seems that Spyder X is NOT suitable for use on MacBook Pro M1 Pro computers and may damage Apple's display settings.
I cured the severely dimmed display (which resulted from using the Spyder X) by deleting all new Profiles which had been added to ColorSync (in ~Library); then rebooting in Safe Mode; and then choosing a different standard Profile in System Preferences/Display.
Look for, and remove, any customised Profiles which may be listed below the line in the Display settings.
These seem to lock the ability to move the Brightness slider and were almost certainly created by the Spyder calibration.
Hope this helps!

Hi,
Go to Launchpad then choose ColorSync Utility, then choose at the top Profile First Aid then at the bottom then Repair.
Enjoy the beautiful colors again :-)
