3.5mm extension cable for Apple EarPods

Anyone know where to buy or how to jerryrig a 3.5mm extension cable at least a meter long for Apple EarPods that will provide the same functionality of the Ear pod cable (stereo, microphone, volume up/down)? (One end needs to be male and the other end female). The manufacturers and/or the users of the 3.5mm extension cables sold on Amazon say that their cables do not provide full functionality.

I am using the EarPods with my 2017 MacBook Pro which resides a few feet beyond the stock EarPod cable length. Thanks for your help.

You need a 4 pole extension cable.
