Explicit songs as default

Is there anyway to have explicit songs as default? One of the biggest drawbacks of Apple Music for me when it comes to comparing it with Spotify is that it always defaults to the censored version of an explicit song and I hate those versions.

I mostly use curated playlists.

Does anyone know any way around this?

Hello elnigu,

Thanks for reaching out in Apple Support Communities. We're happy to help out with Apple Music so you can enjoy listening to your music the way you want to.

We’d like to have you start by going to Apple Music User Guide – Set or change parental controls in Apple Music on the web and see the second section, “Change content restrictions”. Make sure there aren’t any restrictions in place.

Reach back out if you still need assistance and let us know what device and the OS version that is installed.

Have a great day!

Thank you, my restrictions are already off.

maybe mine is more of a suggestion that when restrictions are off, playing a playlist or asking Siri to play a specific song should default to the unrestricted song rather than the censored one. I have been trialling Apple Music to compare it with Spotify (since I was thinking about doing Apple one) and that is the major roadblock for me that makes me dislike music’s pkaylists.
