I have a 27" 2019 iMac that I want to use as a monitor for my MacBook Pro, but I also want to use my iMac, Magic keyboard, and mouse to operate my laptop either wirelessly or via a cable, is this possible?

While you cannot use Target Display Mode, you can use Universal Control and AirPlay to Mac in macOS Monterey to perform these functions. According to macOS Monterey - Apple, these features will be "Available this spring".

Can't say what the model, year and size is, however it was hinted to me from the company I work for that It's a recent release that I'm getting by maybe next month, and that's all the information I have, also I'm using it for video/audio editing and digital design.
what model-year MacBook Pro and screen size?
what activity will you be doing across this connection? editing Video? playing action Video games?

Any MacBook Pro After 2019 is no longer supported.
I think you should plan on an additional external display.
