Update installed but notification won't clear from phone (Apple Watch) iPhone 12

Install completed on watch but phone still says "Installation Paused" and will not allow it to complete (on dock, fully charged, near phone). Any ideas?

Let's team up to help get both devices working as intended.

As you mentioned the update completed on your watch, but still shows paused on your iPhone, have you already tried a restart of both devices?

Hi Reid,

You mentioned already updating, but to confirm, is watchOS 8.3(Apple Watch) and iOS 15.2(iPhone) the version numbers installed in your devices? You can check in each within Settings > General > About.

Where exactly does it show 'Installation Paused' in your iPhone, and is that the only thing it shows?
