iPhone won't ring when Facebook App is open

Took my iPhone 13 to carrier twice for no ring problem Apple support 3 times even did reset took to Best Buy nobody can figure it out out of all the help I’ve had it’s definitely Facebook issue and from experience I know you’ll never get a reply

This has been ongoing and I have been following this feed trying to find a solution.. has anyone had luck not missing calls by utilizing the flash to notify them as well for calls? Not a fix but I am tired of missing calls🤬

looking like a problem to make us buy a new phone?

I feel embarrassed when my friend using Samsung said that why it could happen with iPhone😒 . My mom doesn’t know much about technology and she also complaining why I spent too much money for iPhone 13 pro then the quality is bad. Another problem is when I speak on speakerphone, the sound very poor and the want who call me can not hear me clearly. I am using T-Mobile and live in downtown houston. T mobile blame for iPhone. Apple blames for T-Mobile signal😡. I think I made wrong decision when switching to T-Mobile and upgraded to iPhone 13 pro. Now I can call my iPhone is 13 amateur

I have no problem with speakerphone. Crystal clear both on speaker and off. Maybe you should visit the Apple store or call because it sounds like you have a fault. They can test your phone while you’re there.

Thanks for your suggestion. I will go to apple store for checking. Can i know what iphone are you using? I use iPhone 13 pro. My wife and my son are using iPhone 13 but they don’t have any problems like me. We use T-Mobile

on.  I was final able to get the large

banner to appear but if I glance way from my phone in the middle of game the

banner is no help. I read that it is a Facebook app issue and they refuse to

acknowledge.  I have been told that a work around is to not use

Facebook via the App, only uses Facebook via a browser.

iPhone 7plus:  Phone will not ring while watching Facebook videos or playing Facebook games

Facebook App is broken or they intentionally set our phones

While I work I listen to videos on facebook but my calls do not ring, I can only see the banner above but the video is still playing, there is still no response from facebook, much less a solution. It worked for me go to: Settings>Phone>IncomingCalls and switch from banner to full screen, that way when I'm watching the video and a call comes in, the video pauses completely and no sound, so you can see the call in full screen and not just banner.

Hello I have had the same problem with my iPhone 8plus , this morning went on App Store typed Facebook and found an update , I did the update and tried multiple times calling my iPhone while on Facebook with land line phone and problem seems to have been resolved , try it

Apple seem more than happy to take £1000 for new phone but do nothing when a third party app appears to control whether the phone rings or not. Telling us to contact Facebook is pointless. They do not respond. Apple needs to sort this out if it affects IOS and their customers.

I spent the first 2 weeks of March working on this exact same issue with an Apple Tech.

It infuriates me that I miss calls just because I am looking at a website or checking email or even looking at Facebook.

I contacted Verizon wireless a couple of times but they weren’t helping me at all, so I contacted Apple support.

The second Apple support tech that I spoke to decided to (take ownership) of my problem, and I spent almost every single day for the first 2 weeks of March with her going over every setting on my phone, and remotely getting onto my phone To help me navigate the system to try to find the problem, having me download files that she would send to me that would remote run remote tests and record actions on my phone when She would have me do certain things to try to re-create the problem while I was working with her. Then I would send those recordings back to her and she would submit them to Apple‘s engineers, and they couldn’t find anything.

So then she made an appointment for me to go to the nearest Apple Store an hours drive away from me, and they ran some tests on my phone and couldn’t find anything wrong either.

I told every single one of those people that I talk to that I’ve only had this problem since I installed their latest update.

I even told them all about forums like this where everybody is complaining about the same issues. But they said they haven’t been receiving very many calls So they don’t think it’s a widespread issue.

It would really help if every single person on this feed would call Apple and complain.

I also spent time with Apple support got no answers, after Apple had me do everything possible to fix problem, took phone to carrier twice, they couldn’t figure it out, went to Best Buy, they found nothing wrong, there’s no fix.

Something has to be done there are still many people that are not aware of this ,,the other day I did an update to Facebook and noticed the FB home button was in the form of a file, this is when it seemed to have resolved the problem, after 10-15 minutes the home button went back to the usual little house and the problem came back

Maybe we should contact one of those law firms that do class action suits.

$1200 is a lot to pay for a phone that has nothing but problems that Apple can’t fix. They need to make it right or compensate us.

I have the Same problem but yesterday I tried something… it worked but totally

go to setting > phone> Incoming calls then choose full screen

that will close FB and display the incoming call on full screen but volume is still silent ??

before it used to be calls come on drop banner and no ringing and if you have the EarPods .. you wouldn’t know that you have an incoming call at all .
