False fall detection

Why does my series 7 watch give me false fall detection alerts? I see others have also experienced the same irritation. Whether I'm brushing my teeth, just plain walking, sliding off a chair lift or other such innocuous activity, the watch sends me Fall Detection Alerts. This isn't right. I'm very disappointed.

Hello Richard Betin,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We understand that you’re getting fall detection alerts when you haven’t fallen. We are happy to help.

You can use the steps here to manage fall detection: Manage fall detection on Apple Watch (Apple Watch SE and Apple Watch Series 4 and later only) - Apple Support Please note that the more active you are, the more likely to trigger fall detection.

You can provide Apple feedback here as well: Feedback - Apple Watch - Apple

Let us know if you have further questions.

Take care.
