When I move the "click to name" it moves the photo.

I am trying to name people in photos. Previously, I would click on the (+) and "click to name" adds to the middle of the photo. One could drag the circle to the face and add the name.

Suddenly, when I click to drag, it wants to drag the entire photo

Can anyone shed light as to why this happens?

Give this a try: boot into Safe Mode according to How to use safe mode on your Mac and test to see if the problem persists. Reboot normally and test again.

NOTE: Safe Mode boot can take up to 3 - 5 minutes as it's doing the following;

• Verifies your startup disk and attempts to repair directory issues, if needed

• Loads only required kernel extensions (prevents 3rd party kernel/extensions from loading)

• Prevents Startup Items and Login Items from opening automatically

• Disables user-installed fonts

• Deletes font caches, kernel cache, and other system cache files

Hi. I too have this problem. When I want to name a face of somebody in a picture that has not been picked up be Photos, I click on "Add Faces" in the info pane. When I try to move the "Click to Name" circle, it tries to drag the whole photo. Also, when I'm zoomed in on a photo and I click and drag to try to move the region of interest, nothing happens.

When I move the "click to name" it moves the photo.
