If an apple advisor told me that a technical will contact me to give a quote before fixing my laptop, but in reality my Macbook was fixed without my consent and I was charged for $598. Does this sound right? What can I do?

I have contacted a senior advisor. He agreed that it was a miscommunication by the apple advisor, but because the screen was fixed, they had to charge even without contacting me first.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 12.0

You can also check your local consumer laws to see if you have any legal options.

Thank you very much for the suggestions! The issue is resolved. A very nice and understanding employer called me today and initiated the refund process.
