Finder isn't grouping by name in Column view

When grouping by name in Column view, it does not function correctly (listing files alphabetically) but if I switch to list view or icon view it works correctly. Please fix this bug, I use Column view exclusively :)

There is "Group By" and there is "Sort By".

I am guessing that "Sort By" is what you really want.

Hold down the Option key and choose View Sort Groups By->Name.

I’m not sure how it would group? By each first letter I guess. It’s never grouped by name. Do you have a screenshot showing a group by name in one of the other views?

I can’t make mine make any sort of group.

If you mean it should sort by name when you group, mine have always done that no matter which view I choose.
