Files on my ssd drive are not appering or accessible

I recently bought a late 2013 Macbook, and plugged my ssd in, and found that multiple files (around 180 that I can guess) are completely hidden and or cant be accessed. When I plug the same ssd into my pc the same files appear and can be accessed and utilized. Anyone with answers for this problem I would be extremely grateful. I've gone to google and youtube looking for answers and cant find any.

Hi 49Wayz,

It seems you need help with your SSD and we're here to assist.

Which format do you have your drive formatted for?

If your drive is formatted for NTFS by your Windows computer, it cannot be read by your Mac:

File system formats available in Disk Utility on Mac

To go between Mac and Windows, you'll want to use ExFAT.

Hi 49Wayz,

Is it possible the files are on a different partition?

Do you not find the folders or files you're looking for in Finder?

If you can't see the files in Finder, try using Press Command + Shift + . (period) to show hidden files.

If you can find the files but they just won't play, then let us know what file format they're in.

It is formatted on the ExFat setting, but for whatever reason about at least 180 of my music files don't appear when checking the ssd for its contents, is as if they're not even on the drive. But when plug the same drive into my pc the files appear and are accessible. When I open my Serato Dj Pro software program that I use for Djing, and go to the ssd drive, those same files are seen in the program, but I'm not able to play them.

So I opened a file that is suppose to contain music inside, and it was blank as if nothing was contained in it. So then I pressed command + shift + . and the files did not appear. So you know the feature works, as hidden files did appear when I did so, but the music files that were hidden before are still hidden. So I opened up my Serato Dj software and went to click on that same file, and the mp3's are still there, but I can't play them.
