Spotlight Search not working iOS 15

Updated to iOS 15. Spotlight search doesn't work. I have tried all the internet tricks... change language, restart phone, turn off/on siri for each app. After performing these activities each time, spotlight search will work once then revert back to nothing. Very annoying. I will not upgrade my phone until this is solved. If not solved, I will have no choice but to switch to Samsung. I can't run my life my swiping to the end of the apps and indexing through the letters to find an app. NOOOO!!!!
