iPad to WiFi connection issue

Hi, my iPad has worked for 5 years by connecting to my home WiFi. It worked as I went to sleep last night, this morning it just won’t connect (It’s fully charged).

My iPhone however is working fine.

Ive also tried turning iPad on & off twice and have restarted my router. Nothing else in my home is affected so am quite puzzled.

If I choose to ‘forget this network’ will I still have the option to reconnect by inputting the WiFi password, or will it be permanently forgotten?

Ive also considered a ‘reset’ but am worried I may lose stuff that I need?

Any advice would be much appreciated as I need to use my iPad for work TIA xx

Forgetting the Network from WiFi settings will not inhibit your ability to reconnect to your WiFi network.

Instead of being visible in the My Networks list, after being “forgotten”, your WiFi network will appear under the Other Networks list - from where you can begin a new connection.

If problems continue, your next step is to reset Network Settings:

Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPad > Reset > Reset Network Settings

The reset will cause your iPad to routinely restart - after which you will be able to set-up your network settings and rejoin WiFi networks.
