Can't find my videos in my Camera Roll after transfer. Please help!

I recently transferred files from my old Android phone to my new iPhone 13 Pro Max, using MobileTrans. The transfer was successful. But I can't find my videos ANYWHERE in my Camera Roll. Not in the library, not in the Albums, shows zero "0" in videos & imports.

But when I go to Settings > General > About, and under Videos -- it will show the number 1,292 -- as all the videos I have transferred.

So it seems to me that they are SOMEWHERE IN HERE T__T

I tried restarting the phone, I tried turning it off, in the hopes of the rebooting powers. But none.

Although, I checked on Apple TV app and found my videos (not sure if all compete 1,292 as it does not show number at the bottom unlike the photos in camera roll) under Library, Movies, and Recently Purchased. Lol. Which is so weird! There is no option to move/transfer to Camera Roll, and whatnot.

So how do I go about this guys? Any suggestions? Making me crazy for 2 days now. Please help.

Hi Raicya,

Thank you for your response.

It was actually MobileTrans app I used to transfer from my Android to iPhone :)

And it looks like the videos were successfully transferred to my new iPhone, but for some reason I can't access it freely unlike the photos.

The number shows in my SETTINGS > ABOUT > VIDEOS. But nothing in my Photos/Camera Roll (the colorful icon). I can only find them in the APPLE TV app, but only view (play) them. No option to download, move, nor to send. So I don't know how to "access" them.

Troubleshooting Missing Videos:

Four Things:

A. iTunes Videos:

If these are iTunes purchases, then you need to download them, to my knowledge. And then, you need to approve of the device by logging into iCloud on it and associating it on your Apple Account.

B. Start here: If you're Missing Photos or Videos in the Photos App - Apple Support

C. Check iCloud, Directly:

Go here, and see if they reside in iCloudhttps://www.icloud.com/photos

D. Where Else to Check:

  1. PC
  2. PDA
  3. eMail
  4. Mac Device
  5. Cloud Storage
  6. Android Phone
  7. USB Flash Drive
  8. External Hard drive
  9. Secure Digital Card
  10. Compact Flash Card

Hi TheLittles,

Thank you for your response.

Photos Enabled in iCloud Settings?:

Maybe they are just not updating to your library. So, enable Photos in iCloud settings. How to do so:

  1. Go to: Settings
  2. Tap: Cellular
  3. Tap: Photos (so that it is green)

Settings > Cellular > Photos (turned on)

#2

Settings > Apple ID > iCloud > Photos (on)

And when I click on it:

#3

Settings > Photos

If there's anything you noticed that I needed changed, please let me know.

Hi TheLittles,

Thank you so much for your timely response. To respond:

A. The videos I am referring to are not iTunes purchases.

They are simply personal videos I took and stored in/from my old Android phone, which I transferred to my new iPhone.

B. Thank you for the link. I checked on it and:

1. I checked my recently deleted folder, shows zero "0"

2. These videos I am referring to are not stored in my iCloud

3. I checked hidden folder, shows zero "0"

D. The videos are surely still in my old phone. And it even shows that they were somewhat "transferred" to my new iPhone. They just don't seem to show up in my Camera Roll, for some reason. They aren't easily accessible. Please see photo below:

You can see that the videos I transferred (all 1,300) of them, are there. I just can't seem to find them or have them show up in my Camera Roll -- where they should automatically be showing up? Just like all the photos I transferred, which are all in my Camera Roll.

Also noting that, I checked on the Apple TV app and found my videos (not sure if all are there and complete, as it does not show the number at the bottom unlike the photos in camera roll) under Library, Movies, and Recently Purchased. Lol. Which is so weird! So, do I now access my transferred videos only through the Apple TV app? It doesn't even show a way or an option to move or download or transfer them to my Camera Roll. Sounds like a hassle to me if it is so.

I guess, my biggest or main question is how to make my videos (the ones which I transferred from my old phone) show up in my iPhone Camera Roll?

Thanks again.

Hi TheLittles,

I just did that: Settings > Celular > Photos (on; green)

Also tried turning it off and back on.

When I looked at my Photos (the colorful icon), it still doesn't show the 1,300 videos I have transferred. I am attaching here the bottom area where it'd show the number of photos & videos in my library. It only shows the 28 videos I have taken since I used my phone, but none of the 1,300 videos I successfully transferred.

Another thing to consider, I have mentioned that for some reason, I can find ALL these 1,300 transferred videos in the APPLE TV app. However, when I try to access these videos, they can only be viewed/watched. No option to download, move, nor to send. So I don't know how to transfer them in my library T___T

So again, it looks like it has been transferred successfully, but I can't freely access it. They are not in my library/camera roll (the colorful icon). I can only watch it through the APPLE TV app, which is soooooo frustrating.

Thanks,

Christine

but for some reason I can't access it freely unlike the photos.

That gives the number of videos stored on the iPhone. No, you won't see a video there when you click on it.

(on my iPhone -> 18)

Go to Photos -> scroll to Videos -> tap on it.

(On my iPhone is the same, also =>18).

But nothing in my Photos

Try this -> scroll further to Media type & Other, see if the videos are there.

Hi Raicya,

Thank you for your response.

Yes, the Settings > General > About > Videos is not clickable, not shows the videos. But it somehow gives me an idea that the videos were successfully transferred, that they are somewhere here in my iPhone.

When I go to Photos > Library > All Photos, and scroll to the bottom (where it'd show you the number of photos and videos), here is what shows:

It'll only show 29 videos (my current videos since using my iPhone)

And under Photos > Albums, and scroll to Media Types. Here is what shows:

Video still shows 29. Nothing even under Imports.

T_____T

Thanks,

Christine

Hi Anish,

No, I can't seem to find the solution for this.

And just today, I noticed that my recently transferred photos (20,000 worth of photos) are miraculously gone from my phone. Now, it just shows 3,000 photos.

These 20,000 photos I'm talking about are with the videos I had issues with and transferred when I changed phones -- where the photos show in ALL PHOTOS but now can't find anywhere in my photos app (library, all photos, albums). I don't remember clicking nor changing anything in my phone. I jut got surprised that the photos in my phone only shows 3,000.

Disclaimer: These 20,000 photos are not in my iCloud (as I only have the free 5GB lol). And yes, I've tried turning on/off my iCloud feature. These photos are transferred to my iPhone from my old Phone through Wondershare.

Can't find my videos in my Camera Roll after transfer. Please help!
