facetime join button in message thread

Hey. This happens to me very often and I’ve realized it can also mean that the persons phone you were on the phone with has died. When it’s not dead I’m not really sure why this happens but I have the same problem as well.

why should I join a call that it’s not a group call?

since it looks like somebody else is in the call and that’s why it shows join but when join it’s only the one you call…

me too and it’s getting so irritating, i remember it took me forever to get the update bc i used to not have enough storage, everyone would tell me how amazing and perfect the new update was with the facetime screen share and everything new, and now i regret it so much. worst update glitch ever.

It’s not the case for me that the other person is in an active call. I often get iMessages from my partner that she’s tried to call me and it just says Join, but I’m not on a call. And the same the other way round.

i'm literally having the same problem and i'm about to get REALLY REALLY MAD!!!!!!!!!!!! this is the most annoying thing ever and I can't even ft my bf without having to call like 20 TIMES THAT IS RIDICULOUS! i'm so serious apple you need to fix it because this is not okay i'm so angry i can't even explain my mood is ruined every night cause i have to call my bf like 20 times before it actually goes through.

It is now June 3rd...and there has still been no resolve to this issue. I'm guessing what happens is one person "hangs up" but the other does not and assumes it has hung up because the other person is not there. Obviously, this creates a huge problem. Seems like this should be a simple fix and I feel like this did not start happening until the ios15 release. Please fix this, Apple!

I am having this exact problem too. Please fix this Apple! My BFF and I FaceTime multiple times daily and once that join button appears, none of her FaceTime calls go through to me until I restart my phone. Plus I don’t even know I’ve missed any until I open a message thread from her. This is ridiculous.

Yea none of that is working and all devices are doing it including my friends phone and we are up to date is there going to be a new update to fix this issue

I tried offloading FaceTime and it didn’t help it still has the green join call is it because I use the same email for my iPad and iPhone but this never happened before IOS15
