iPhone Mail Results disappear after a second!

When I search my email on my iPhone 13 (and the iPhones I had before), the results are usually meaningful for less than a second but all of a sudden it reverts to all the emails in the folder. It makes searching for an old email impossible. This is not a new problem. It has done this through several iOS updates and resets. Is it just a glitch in the Apple email app or is there a way to fix it?

Welcome to Apple Support Communities, we're glad to assist. We understand that your search results in your email on your iPhone are not staying very long. If you have multiple email accounts you can search all mailboxes or just the current mailbox. The most relevant emails will appear in Top Hits above the search. You can also search by timeframe or by email attributes. Read more about that here: Search for email in Mail on iPhone.
