Frozen screen when asked to sign in by Apple ID suggestions.

Unable to sign in/off Apple ID. iPhone X says I need to sign in or “some account services will not be available.” I am able to attempt logging in however my login attempt never processes and freezes or force closes settings. Before you suggest to factory reset the phone, the same freeze/close happens when I attempt to do so. How can I get passed this login requirement in order to access my full phone?

Thank you for posting in the Apple Support Communities. As we understand it, you're being prompted to sign in to your Apple ID as required by some of your account services, but your device stops responding during the process. Is that right? We're happy to see how we can assist.


To double-check, you mentioned an issue when trying to factory reset your iPhone. Are you referring to restoring it using a computer, or a different process? Knowing that might help in narrowing things down.


Also, have you tried this process on both cellular data and Wi-Fi connections? If not, test both and let us know the results.


If the issue persists, check Settings > Battery > Battery Health. Do you see any alerts about performance management there?
