Black screen flickering

I saw a similar question posted a few months ago, but it didn’t look like there was any resolution.

Since I purchased my iPhone 12, I’ve found that when a large portion of my screen is taken up by black that black will flicker between dark and lighter shades. It does this for the new tab page of safari on dark mode, the black bars on the sides of YouTube and Netflix videos that don’t take up the entire screen, on the black background of instagram in dark mode, and even on my iPhones Home Screen itself when I changed my background to be just black as a test.

My phone and apps are up to date, it was recently reset, it has not had any contact with water or significant drops, and there really isn’t any one app in particular that it applies to, it’s just every time there is a large black chunk in the screen.

It’s very distracting, is there anything that can be done?
