I have a Verizon email address - and it is hosted by AOL. Last week, I stopped receiving email on on iPhone and iPad. I went into settings and followed all instructions from the past - but no luck - and I have no idea what ports to enter. HELP!!

My question: Why do my email message no long upload onto my iPhone or IPad? No more messages have arrived on those devices for a week, but I can find them on my desktop PC. My email is a Verizon.net address, and it is now managed by AOL, but I don't want to call AOL because they gave me bad advice when AOL first took over the Verizon accounts. I tried following all the setting instructions I'd followed in the past, but it still doesn't work. I don't understand how to determine the correct port numbers, if that happens to be the issue. This is a big headache and I'm not a techie. What do I do?

iPad Air 2, iPadOS 14

Usually, the best place to start is by deleting the accounts from your phone and then adding them back. You generally only need to enter your email address and passcode and the rest will be added automatically.

You either contact Verizon or AOL to get the correct settings.

I have same issue with the Verizon.net and aol account. Called apple support and was told that I need new appleid because a different email needed for id. Told consequently will not be able to recover all my data (pictures etc.) and subscriptions associated with the original id. Very disheartening. What can I do? Help please. I know I’m not the only one with this issue.
