Why did you remove volume control in map voice?

Since the last software update you can not increase the volume for voice navigation. I don’t use CarPlay just Bluetooth. In short this could make me go back to Android because I need that control for business purposes while in my car traveling. Please fix this issue!

IPhone Maps Navigation Voice Volume I wanted to change the NavigatIon Voice Volume setting on my iPhone Map in Setting: Maps: Navigation and Guidance Navigation Voice Volume, to learn when I upgraded my iPhone in September to iOS 15 they removed Navigation and Guidance from Maps Settings and I can no longer change the volume for my iPhone Map Navigation Voice Volume. If I had known this would happen I would never have upgraded to iOS 15. I moved in July and started using iPhone Maps for the first time. Is there anything I can do to get Apple to bring back Navigation & Guidance in Settings for Maps so the navigation voice volume can be changed? They never should have removed this from Maps Settings. How can I get Apple to bring it back??

navigation volume adjustment There used to be a way to make navigation voice instructions louder than music. I can't find it anymore. All the on line guides point to settings, map, navigation but I don't find it in iOS 15

Volume controls in Apple Maps while using CarPlay with iOS 16 Before iOS 16, under Settings / Maps, there was a Navigation & Guidance control, which allowed you to adjust the volume of the CarPlay Apple Maps voice. I can’t find these controls in iOS 16. I’m trying to figure out why I can hear Apple Maps instructions from my iPhone 14 Pro (iOS 16.01) in our 2020 Prius Prime via CarPlay, but my wife’s iPhone 13 Pro (iOS 16) has no audible instructions when she uses her phone with CarPlay. The navigation display does connects to her phone via CarPlay and Apple Maps does display on the car’s display, there just aren’t any auditory instructions. There is no firmware/software update available for the navigations system on a Prius Prime 2020.

Wait for the navigation voice to speak then operate the volume control on the phone or on your steering wheel if connected. That has not changed recently to my knowledge.

You should choose the make and model of phone that suits you but if you think anyone here is concerned that you may go back to the dark side then you would be mistaken.
