Just received my HomePod mini and like everyone, I can experience a delay of 2-3 seconds when pausing/resuming/shifting music.
How an Apple product can have this kind of issue? for 99$, I would expect to have at least a better experience! And of course, Apple never answered in any of the many threads open for that topic.
Is it possible to connect to bluetooth instead of AirPlay, as it seems this is the root cause of the issue?

As you say the delay seems to be built into AirPlay. Bluetooth is only used during setup and handoff.

Hmm, I’ve never had this problem. Might it be your network?
Try using GarageBand or Logic with a keyboard, or play a video game.
