I'm trying to scan a document and keep getting this error message. Please advise! I recently upgraded to Catalina.

upgrade to catalina caused file access denial I upgraded to Catalina 10.15.1, and now when my computer goes to sleep, it can't access files on my Desktop or in my Documents folder upon awakening. Affects Pages, Preview, and MS Office files (probably others also). Restarting solves the problem, but the problem comes back. I started in safe mode with same results. I reset Pram, and ran disk utility and virus scans (all good). I can see the files, but I can't move them to a different folder and an error message box pops up when I double-click on them. Interesting twist - files in other folders like Pictures (jpg or pdf files) open fine, using the same apps (Preview).

cannot save files to finder When I try to save files to finder I get an error message... The file "...." could not be opened.. consequently the file is not saved.. frustrated This happened after I upgraded to Catalina..
