Accidental calling of favorites on hang up on my iPhone

It is getting unbearable. I've had to take important contacts out of Favorites because of this problem. Really upset's my manager when I'm on the road talking to my wife at 11pm then he gets a butt dial from me after I hang up with her.

I was hoping one of the recent updates would fix this but nope... Just called my manager again this morning!

This happens to me on a daily basis. Very frustrating when you quickly try to hang up before the call goes through (which it always does) then people of course call you back. Having to explain I called on accident 5x a day is extremely annoying. Apple, please fix this!!

Please fix this problem. From a CX perspective, this is what bugs me most about my IPhone. With the geniuses you have working there, I am sure you can solve this problem that is ******* off your customers on a weekly basis.

Apple this unacceptable if you really worried about your Apple Customers its important to fix this annoying thing immediately this question was posted on Jan 2022 and i am still facing the same issue even now it very frustrating and your so called solution of using the side lock button doesnt help its not a solution that we are ready to change to.

Its a simple solution after the call has ended increase the time of the screen showing the total time spoken that way we need not accidently touch our screens to end the call and dial somebody from the list (Favorites or Recent) .

Yes, a prompt to complete call would work perfectly. I have been android my whole life and recently switched to iPhone for work. On my galaxy if you clicked their name it would bring up a prompt to call or message them(or obviously click away if a mistake) This one issue of accidentally calling people in the middle of the night after finishing a call with someone is making me very unhappy with the switch to Apple.

This is very awkard, indeed. I hope this gets fixed.

It reminds me of another problem I have. Sometimes I want to push some control on top of the iPhone screen (i.e. navigation controls). Right before my finger touches the screen, a Banner notication will pop up. So I end up pushing the banner notication instead and trigger some unwanted action.

This is a problem Apple has had for quite some time. Before the problem came with iOS 15 I think you had longer time to turn off from your side even though the other side has hanged up if I remember correctly.

Why does the recent calls list needs to open up at all after a call? If you make a call it should just go back to the background so you don't accidentally call someone else. That would be the best solution in my opinion.

The other solution is to have to confirm that you want to make a call which is just another step before making a call.

And while we are on the recent call list is there an option somewhere to only show one row per contact?

If I want to see the number of times I called someone I could have that info under the i. As it is now you have to scroll quite a lot in case you called someone else like 20 times after the contact before.

Many things are good with iOS but this and the decision to change the design of the icons from nice 3d to flat ones years ago are not.

I have the same issue. If the person on the other line hangs up before I tap the end call button, the screen reverts back to the last screen, and it’s usually my favorites, or recents. This causes me to tap the contact that’s right where the end call button was. It’s super annoying. I conduct business on this phone and I’m calling clients by accident constantly. Very unprofessional!! This needs to be in the next iOS update!!! PLEASE!!! FIX!!! IT!!!!

This is a SUPER ANNOYING problem and needs to be fixed. Please give us an option to let the call screen stay open after a call or close the favorites screen when making/answering a call. Both of these fixes will address the issue. Ignoring it is not good customer support. Thank you.

Did you tell Apple your thoughts?

I can’t understand why Apple won’t fix this issue. Either a default back to Home Screen on hang up or a confirmation prompt before dialing from the favorites list. Not rocket science, just good customer service!!

I have the above issue, add call prompt (optional) or else make it like swipe instead touch to make a call

Or else use your 3D/Heptic and then have call options ( this can also be optional)

This issue is going on for almost a year!!!
