Printing with Staples from Word on MacOS Big Sur

Hello All!

So the subject says it all. I work in IT and have some users who are having trouble printing a document and finishing with staples from Word on MacOS Big Sur.

The printer is a Canon Generic Plus PS3.

People have had luck doing so on Dell laptops (we are a mixed Dell Mac environment). I am seeing online different solutions for older OS's, but nothing relevant to Big Sur.

It seems that in the print dialogue box there should be a "Print Features" option, but that doesn't show up.

Any guidance? Thanks in advanced for any help!

The only drivers I found on a Canon site for this device were Windows drivers from Canon Singapore. If somehow, you have Mac drivers, they should be for Big Sur and released in 2021, the later the better.

The printer features that Canon implemented in the Windows drivers for stapling, may not be implemented for Mac users. I have seen this before on several corporate business devices where the Mac implementation effort was less functional than on Windows.

At this point, I suggest you have a conversation with your Canon representative, or your customary Canon support.

Thanks for the intel! This is was what I was afraid of, but I think we might have a work around (recently set up a window VM for the team using Mac's, so they should be able to print from the VM)
