Apple TV 4K (2nd generation) stuck on data privacy screen (fixed)

I bought a Apple TV 4K (2nd generation) used. When I brought it home and booted it up, it was on the data privacy screen and the remote would not work. I tried everything from unplugging the apple tv and trying to do a power cycle, trying to reconnect the remote, charging the remote and connecting it to my phone. Nothing worked, I couldn't connect it to my phone because the Apple TV has to be connected to the same wifi network. You can reset an apple tv through itunes but the Apple TV 4K 2nd only has an ethernet, hdmi and power port.

I came up with an idea to connect my router using an ethernet cable to the apple tv and since it would be connected to the wifi, my phone should be connect to it. Well that worked and I was able to get pass that screen and connect the remote and everything works. I wanted to put this post for people who might encounter this problem and search it up on google. (when I searched it up I couldn't find anything relating to the 2nd version of the Apple TV 4K)
