Why does Magsafe Wallet w/ Find My not work with iPhone 12 Pro Max w/ Clear Case?

Hey everyone,

I received the latest Magsafe Wallet with Find My in Golden Brown for Christmas. I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max with an official Apple Clear Case on it. As a control, I removed the case from the phone, and attached the wallet directly to the phone, and everything worked as expected and advertised. So I have a few questions.

Why is it that:

1) when attaching the wallet while the case is on, the wallet does not prompt the attached animation?

2) when removing the wallet while the case is on, the phone gives a haptic feedback pattern, acknowledging that something was removed from it?

3) when removing the wallet while the case is on, the phone does not prompt the Find My "Left Behind" notification? Clearly the phone has acknowledged that something was detached, as evident by the haptic feedback?

4) when attaching the wallet while the case is off, the phone gives the attachment animation when the wallet is at a distance that is much farther away than the thickness of the clear case? By that logic, shouldn't the phone sense that the wallet is attached when the case is on?

5) all other cases provided by Apple seem to be compatible with the Find My feature of the wallet?

6) when using my Magsafe charger with the phone in the case, I get the magsafe connected animation, but I don't get the animation when attaching the wallet?

It seems like this could be easily rectified by adding compatibility in a future software update.

Ultimately, I am just looking for a possible explanation to the questions above.
