Cannot go into diagnosis mode on Mac

So recently my mac has not been responding to inputs (I have fixed this problem) so I boot into diagnosis mode and get a message in a BIOS like mode saying "cannot boot into diagnosis mode missing driver" this is new to me and this hasn't happened before. Is there a way to reinstall this driver?

Hello Realagent7,

Thanks for reaching out in Apple Support Communities.

We're happy to help but want to make sure we understand first and want to learn a little more about what’s happening.

1) The post is showing OS X Mountain Lion, is that correct? And if you go to the Apple menu and select About This Mac, what is the full model’s name showing?

2) Can you tell us how you are trying to boot into diagnostic mode?

3) You mentioned BIOS and missing drivers, are you using Bootcamp and trying to get into the diagnostic mode for Windows?

4) Does the message state which driver is missing? If Mac, it should be included with the operating system when it’s installed.

5) While we know you don't need assistance with the "not responding to input", can you tell us just a little more about how it was fixed? It may help with troubleshooting.

We look forward to hearing back from you!
