Thank you. The Samsung SCX-3406W is listed as HP SCX-3406W in About AirPrint - Apple Support as a model supporting the driverless AirPrint technology. You should be able to use the printer without having to install any drivers, provided that the SCX-3406W and your Mac are connected to the same network/Wi-Fi router.
Have you tried an AirPrint connection, or did you make an attempt to use a universal driver with USB?
Also, have you checked whether the latest printer firmware is installed? You could possibly check firmware updates/upgrades via the SyncThru Web Service Maintenance tab. See page 272 in the manual at http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05786719.pdf#G14.4944743 . Make absolutely sure that any downloaded firmware files are intended for your exact printer model.
See also my replies (regarding SCX-3405W) under the thread mentioned in your above question.
Hi,
Which exact SCX-3400 series model do you have, including any suffix? SCX-3405W is just one example.
The name on the machine is SCX-3406w, in some counties it’s called 3405w.
Ps: my printer does not have fax
