Macbook Pro attempts to eject SDXC card while in sleep mode, why?

I have a MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015), last year I added an SD card to my SDXC slot and up until the last couple of months, I've had no issues with it but for some reason when I open up my computer I have dozens of notifications pop saying the SD Card was ejected improperly. I have not attempted to eject it one time since adding the SD card and I can't find any settings that would cause my Macbook to auto eject it. One, has anyone else had this issue, Two, if yes, have you been able to diagnose the problem and fix it? I've attached a photo of all of the notifications below.

Greetings aawaters79,

Thanks for visiting the Apple Support Communities! It seems you're receiving notifications on your Mac that your SD card has been ejected when your Mac went to sleep.

To help isolate the behavior, test with a different macOS user account. If the issue doesn't persist in the other user, then test after disabling the log in items for your account: Set up users, guests, and groups on Mac - Apple Support

Additionally, test after booting in to safe mode, and ensure macOS is updated:

Kind regards.
