Headphones don't work with Ipad Pro 3rd Gen

I've got a brand new Ipad Pro 3rd Generation, updated to OS15.2.1, and it will not work with a wired headphone adapter. I'm using a USB-C Adapter to a 3.5mm audio jack for headphones. I see I'm not the only one with this issue. Does anyone have a fix for this? C'mon Apple, you took the 3.5mm jack away, and your updated 'fix' isn't fixing anything!

As described, your headphones may not be wired correctly for iPad. There are different wiring standards for TRRS connections.

In general, there are three main wiring standards for 3.5mm TTRS connections - and they are not interchangeable:

CTIA (Apple)

OMTP (Nokia)

Camcorder AV

Hey there ByroneousTsquare,

We understand you're experiencing issues with listening to headphones on your iPad Pro. We have a resource that can help.

Check it out here: If your headphones don't work with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Specifically,y check out the section below:

"If you can't hear any sound or if only one side of your headphones works

  1. Adjust the volume with the volume buttons on your iOS device or use the Volume slider in Control Center on your iPhone or iPad
  2. To see if you need a replacement, try a second pair of headphones. If the second pair works, contact the manufacturer of the initial pair and ask if you need a replacement. If the second pair doesn't work, contact Apple Support. "

Regards.
