If you are wearing an Apple watch and have wrist detection enabled notifications will appear on your watch instead of your phone, unless the phone is unlocked.

If that isn’t what is happening try restarting your phone→Restart your iPhone - Apple Support

Yes, have the same issue right after doing the 15.2 update and now with 15.3 as well. Reset location & privacy, restarted the phone but the issue is still there. Very frustrating as I cannot attend a single whatsapp call as they all come as missed calls when i open the app. No notifications come through as well. Same with insta, fb etc. This is a big issue and I hope Apple roles out a fix ASAP

Hi !

I have same issue but not only on the messenger. Not even incoming calls are displayed through the messenger.

Gmail doesn't update mail in the background. Mail will only be downloaded when I open the app.

Incoming Imessage messages do not appear on the locked screen even though everything is enabled for it.

This is the worst sw version I have come across in the last 6 years.

I called apple support but they couldn't give any real help. It has been constantly argued that these are external improvements and so Apple can’t do anything about these issues. I didn’t have any similar issues with the previous version, so it’s clear to me that this is a bug in Apple sw. I want to dowgrade the sw but I can't officially do it so I may have to look for another solution.

I have had this problem. Recently updated to iOS 15.2.1 Apple Watch connected. No notifications showing on my watch and phone where they used to. Is this a new feature? How can I turn it off so I can get notifications on both phone and watch? I have restarted but not changed anything. Focus and do not disturb all turned off. Happening on both an iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone SE and very frustrating.

I'm a longtime android user switched to apple with the latest iPhone 13 pro. Ever since I got the phone I noticed this notification issue, starting with YouTube app, all settings are correct but no notification sounds from the subscribed channels only muted banners. I've tried resetting the phone, settings, even setup as a new device nothing seems to fix the problem. I've noticed this with few other apps as well. This is the most important and annoying one.

Yes, I have done all of these things as well. It's a terrible problem when you cannot do anything with your phone when you pick it up because you are bombarded with notification after notification after notification. Sometimes there are 20 missed Ring alerts – each to be dismissed which really defeats the purpose of having notifications in the first place. Having to dismiss them all to get to whatever you picked up your phone to do is completely maddening. As is not being notified in the first place.
