Is anyone else facing issues with notifications not coming as alerts on phone screen for messages, WhatsApp or any messenger applications post software update to IOS 15.2.1?

If you are wearing an Apple watch and have wrist detection enabled notifications will appear on your watch instead of your phone, unless the phone is unlocked.
If that isn’t what is happening try restarting your phone→Restart your iPhone - Apple Support
yes, facing similar issue and not just with whatsapp but with outlook, LinkedIn, and other productivity apps as well.

Im having issues to get missed phone calls and randomly other app notifications as well. Fyi all notifications are allowed and im not using any focus. Pls advise anyone how to resolve this problem?
To adjust, notifications are coming up on watches but not on the phone while locked.
Thanks but it has only happened for me since the later updates. Previously, I was getting notifications on both. How can I disable ‘wrist detection’ so I can get them on both?

Anyone else having an issue where there using there phone and the phone apparently rings but it just shows as a missed call IOS15.2.1
That didn’t work for me until I did what I posted. Now I get all my notifications but Apple needs to fix this fing bug cause literally thousands are without notifications.
After upgrade I can no longer make calls out from contacts book, have to enter number in keypad

Use my fix! I get all notifications except from FB which ends up being a FB issue not apple…
