Airport Time Capsule

Hi, I am trying to backup a 2013 Intel Macbook Air and a 2021 M1 Macbook Air on the same 2013 Airport Time Capsule. The M1 machine seems to be backing up properly. The older machine is not sensing the Data partition of the Time Capsule. (If I run Disk Utility App, I do not see any external disk other than my internal Mac HD). Upon trying Backup Now option, I get an error saying Backup Failed - Time Machine could not back up to the named capsule. I think the old Macbook is looking for a different partition name that was there a few years back. So, my questions are as follows (1) Can both Macbooks be backed up to the same Time Capsule Disk Partition where the new one is currently backing up? (2) If yes, is it okay for me to "Add or Remove Backup Disk" under Time Machine Preferences, remove the two Backup Disks that are not available, and select Use Disk option for the Backup Disk that is being indicated as Available? That seems to be the common sense thing to do, but I will appreciate an expert opinion before I go ahead and do it. Apple Support considers this a discontinued product hence I am dependent on this Forum for help. Thank you. Som
