Close All Apps Automator

Try rebuilding it from scratch and run it. You will likely need to allow Automator to control the other apps.

I just built one and it works without asking permission, so it may be just that old one is corrupt or quarantined.

You can try the following steps:

1. 1. Start Activity monitor
   2. View>Windowed Processes
   3. Edit>Select All
   4. View>Quit Processes

I didn't actually run step 4.

P.S. Logging out and back in should also do the trick

The problem is not Automator - the problem is Monterey.

Need to downgrade to Big Sur

You must have missed the part where I stated I built it in Monterey, and it works.
