Mail app on MacBook Air

Hello!

I use the Apple mail app on my iPhone and iPad, but it simply does not appear to exist on my MacBook Air.

I can't find the little icon with the white envelope in a blue square ANYWHERE! The only mail app I can find is one whose icon is an eagle soaring against a blue background. Is THIS the Apple mail app? It looks so different than on my phone and iPad.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much,

AP

Try Spotlight Search:

If you use Spotlight Search, see if it pops up: Search with Spotlight on Mac - Apple Support

  1. Hold Down: [command + spacebar]
  2. Type: Mail

The current icon is a white envelope on a blue background.

If you open the app and then click "About" on the menu named "Mail" it should show an Apple copyright if it is the Apple Mail app.

You should be able to find it by using search (command spacebar or magnifying glass icon near right end of menu bar) or by opening Launchpad and using search at the top center of it or by opening a Finder window and then using the Finder "Go" menu to go to the Applications folder.
