Does time machine restore all apps and DMG files? I use brave browser ( chrome offshoot ). Will my extensions and settings be restored? I use an app called metamask ( a crypto wallet ) I have written down my seed phrases but I’m hoping for a easier way. Thanks ahead of time.

Time machine "restores" everything. Your new Mac system is a clone of the old.
Some non-Apple services however require you to sign in again, as might some software installations.
If you're running Monterey you have already used Time Machine to get to macOS 12?
You should be okay for Brave extensions and settings too.

I just started a back up yesterday as this unit needs to go in for repair. So I was already on 12
